On November 10th, the Siemens RIE Conference 2023 Erlangen-Nuremberg took place under the theme “Beyond Digital: it’s all about value” at ZOLLHOF in Nuremberg. The event brought together researchers, tech pioneers, and industry leaders to explore how digital innovation delivers tangible value in fields like metaverse technologies, simulation, and shopfloor integration. The program kicked off with an energizing welcome and the creative session “Siemens x FAU,” followed by thought-provoking keynotes on the future of the metaverse and the interface between IT and OT in manufacturing.
The second half of the conference featured sessions on academic and industrial applications in the metaverse, a vibrant panel discussion on building the digital future, and a spotlight on startups and innovation. The day concluded with networking over lunch and an open house tour of the ZOLLHOF space, offering a hands-on look into emerging tech and collaborative research.
